Is there already a tests which does roughly that?

Create mail with attachment. Open Mail, try do download the file.

Check content type.

If there is already a similar test, try to extend it. If not, create a new test.

First try to reproduce the bug in a test.

If test fails, then fix bug.

Check that test is ok now.
